"A Dying Dream"

Once a shimmering stream, clear and pure,

Now a murky broth, so very obscure.

The life that once flourished, now in despair,

Polluted by man, no one seems to care.

The fish that once danced, now lifeless and still,

Their habitats ruined, by human will.

We drain and we dump, not thinking of cost,

The dreams of our planet, at what great loss?

Oh how we've abused this precious resource,

Turning it into a toxic course.

A dying dream, our water so vast,

Now poisoned and gone, a forgotten past.
