A Drop of Pink

Learning to be me

I am a drop of pink

Into the ocean

I have not the form to last alone

The warmth of cozy days

Permeates my spreading haze

But still it vanishes into the foam

I am a drop of pink

Against your window

I have not the time to make a mark

The kiss of rosy lips

Trails past your fingertips

And seconds bring the flash of pink to dark

I am a drop of pink

Among a thousand

I am the storm that drenches hill and gale

Memories of kindness

And the light that roars inside us

Mean I am still here and whole and hale
