When days are dark
I dream of Spring
of fields lush
with songbirds singing
trees in bloom
and flowers swaying
A chorus with voice aplenty
leaving my cave
to step in time
with their symphony
I ponder
If nature’s reborn
refreshed and renewed
after dormant buried months
why could I not do
the same?

This felt like drifting through your thoughts, Matthew - brilliant!
I think we emerge anew along with nature every season. Love the theme of renewal here.
Well-wrought! All life moves in cycles, and those who are patient with nature will find nature the beneficent mother rather than the scolding hag!
Very refreshing and enlightening. Love it.
2 birds, 1 stone, great entry for both challenges <3
A lovely breath of fresh air! Why not do the same, indeed!
A delightfully uplifting poem😊.
This felt good and reassuring. Nice entry to both!
WOA, thus packed a punch in the end, wasn’t expecting that. Great job!
Wonderful take on spring and renewal
Just a lovely little poem (assuming you take the ending as hopeful)
