A Dream of Prophecy Not Lived

Dreams seem so real at times I wonder...

By Mello.viibesPublished 3 years ago 1 min read
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before - Edgar Allan Poe

I had a dream that I was flying

High above the clouds, I was soaring

The wind in my hair, the sun on my skin

I felt alive, I felt free

I flew over oceans and mountains

I saw the world in a way I had never seen before

Everything was so small and insignificant

From up above, it all looked the same

But then something strange happened

The sky turned red and the clouds turned black

I heard a rumble and a roar

And then I saw it, a giant dragon

It had wings as big as buildings

And flames that shot out of its mouth

It was coming straight for me

I was terrified, I couldn't move

But then, suddenly, I wasn't alone

A group of superheroes appeared

They wore capes and masks and had powers beyond belief

They flew alongside me and together we faced the dragon

We battled in the sky for what felt like hours

But in the end, we emerged victorious

The dragon was defeated and the world was saved

I woke up feeling like a hero

That was the craziest dream I ever had

I'll never forget the feeling of flying

Or the thrill of defeating that dragon

It was a dream that I'll never forget
