They say you can’t when can
seems impossible.
They say you won’t when will seems improbable.
The key to success is no grand illusion,
the key to success is simple delusion.
For eloquence sake they say “blind ambition,”
perhaps this sounds better when life brings contrition.
But not always the case on the edge of success,
for sometimes the forces of failure acquiesce.
Sometimes the seed can fight through the dirt.
Sometimes the heart can fight through the hurt.
Sometimes the song can cut through the noise .
Sometimes in sadness we reclaim the joy.
And sometimes an idea with all of its flaws,
once molded and twisted can find great applause.
But only by keeping the “you can’ts” at bay and
embracing delusion does love win the day.
