A Dialogue Presidential Debate Poem

From a Nonpartisan Perspective

The federal budget deficit is climbing by another $1.9 trillion,

We've avoided recession, steered clear of the brink,

How will you manage this condition?

A balanced approach is needed if you stop to think.

Yet high prices ensure the struggle is real,

Inflation is a beast that refuses to rest,

Families can't afford a decent meal.

How will you reduce it and ease this distress?

We've lowered inflation from its dreadful height,

But prices are still soaring, and wallets are thin,

And the path ahead is still a fight.

Policies have faltered, and it is not clear we will win.

Consumer confidence has taken a hit,

Jobs are stable, and wages are on the rise,

What are your plans to make it lit?

Steady growth will quell the cries.

But wages remain low as income inequality grows,

Geopolitical risks haunt the night,

Under my leadership, prosperity always flows.

From the Middle East to Taiwan's plight.

No major war has come to pass,

Yet rogue country alliances and wars rage

Steady hands steer, so let's not act rash

A different approach is indeed what's needed on stage.

The American people demand a cure,

Diplomacy, alliances, and strength still hold true

Security and peace, long-lasting and sure.

Remaining calm during a crisis is what we do.

Amidst all these issues, the people's plea,

A future built on a steady climb,

Amidst our challenges, what future do we see?

With continued prudence, I expect further progress over time.

A change is needed to be clear,

To end the worrisome vision and put us on the right course,

Strong leadership to end the fear.

America deserves strength and not incoherent discourse.
