A Death So Sudden

·

By Erin HollowayPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

When death comes so sudden to someone, we love it's like your heart being ripped in two and you feel such a sadness you don't know how to get through.

Having all these incredible memories with the person you loved each day that goes by you pray the pain subsides because you feel a part of you has just died.

Realizing we have to cherish every moment with the person we love because there will come a day, they won't see the rising sun.

Sometimes you go back in your mind on how you could have done things so differently if only you only you knew they would be taken away so suddenly.

With sadness in your heart there is still joy because he knew his Creator and is in a better place where he is feeling so much love and embrace

With death there's a rebirth of life if you lived in Christ so you trust in God that you will see him again and you keep fighting the good fight until the end

There are days where it's hard because you remember his smile and his joy for living and how he always preached God's word and kept on giving.

You know you need to be strong and you're learning to go on but you will take a piece of him with you every day he's in your heart and that's where he'll stay.

In Christ you have peace because you can see your friends face as he opens his eyes in Heaven flying high and seeing his smile as he touches the skies

As you think about him and maybe what his thoughts were on his last day you imagined he thanked God for the life he led and prayed that many were touched by the gospel he shared

He may not be here anymore but a part of him will live on in our hearts and minds he touched our souls let us celebrate the life he lived we can rejoice because he completed his goal.
