A daydreamer's perspective
My rich internal world is full of colour

My rich internal world is full of colour -
Day-long thoughts sweep me out to sea and hold me safe in the deep, calm blue
When it all gets too much, I float about, limbs akimbo, suspended in time, watching as the ocean world goes about its business, glittering and unfazed as I bob about on the surface.
Stuck in traffic, I drift toward the sun -
A searing yellow against pale blue
Gauzy clouds slip past my skin and I imagine myself wrapped up in their fine, white softness.
When Im alone at home I slink into the depths of the garden -
Dark, damp earth and jewel-green leaves slick with dew take over
Bugs prittle-prattle about; a low hum of activity that's far more complex than I'll ever understand.
At night the stars beckon -
A regal velvet sky winks at me, a private joke about longevity and experience lifts my weighty expectations from my shoulders
I lay still. It's all perspective, after all.
