A dark voyage, part one

Bound by Darkness

I’ve been to hell and back

I remember the brimstone and fire

I’ve walked the path of sin

I’ve given into desire

I’m far from a pure man

My roads not paved in gold

Many struggles I have faced

Since the days of old

I’ve been known to hate

With malice in my heart

I’ve never cared for another

Cruelty; my art

For I’m a man of darkness

My shadow runs ever deep

My red eye’s burn like fire

From which tears never seep

Because I am void of emotion

A creature of nightmares design

Vile as a serpent

The definition of malign

sad poetry
