A single glance and flames ignite
Sending signals to the brain it’s time
A feeling of warmth that covers you
A moment of sweet recognition
You look away afraid of what could be there
Your mind a mess of doubt and insecurities
Another glance and they are on the way
Unable to move frozen with anticipation
You gather your thoughts and try to act cool
a few moments feel like forever as you wait
Finally you are face to face with the one
A person so complete you feel broken
A smile of uncertainty to break the ice
A gentle caress to show how they feel
No words have been spoken nor needed
A single glance and flames ignite
