A Cold Warning Advisory

As Submitted To The Public Announcement Challenge

By Marc OBrienPublished about 4 hours ago 1 min read

We have been told

It’s very cold

Everyone needs to stay bold

When confronting the weather bitter

Wearing wool designed by the knitter

Blankets cover

All passionate lovers

Fireplace logs burn

Waiting to be stoked and turned

Careful getting too close

Chest and nuts will roast

Stoop smothered with snow

Slippery conditions dangerously grow

You should know

Before you go

Out the door

Armed for

A wintry war

Take some time

Rest and recline

Plan a darken romantic dine

Filled with warm wine

Bought with a well-earned nickel and dime

Remember term papers will be due

Google library will help you through

Writing what you think

Grades won’t sink

Setting up a plan

To attack the spring exam

Follow this poetic advice

Which is a public service, being nice

Warning about what to do

Preventing one turning blue

And fold

In the cold

Waiting for summer gold
