oh, to live rent free in that space between dreams and reality

where you can taste what you see and hear with your mind

i would find me a seat somewhere neath a willow tree

where friendship is easy and love remains blind

to travel the paths shaded by the mountaintops

see sounds and explore both sides of the moon

finding the treasures abandoned in thrifting shops

eating life's pleasures with a big silver spoon

to dream as a child, finding adventure in little things

skating through life with the pom pom's and fringe

holding to hope like a kite and a velvet string

soaking it up like water in a sponge
