A Broken Heart

My heart is shattered, broken and bruised,

The pain is real, I feel so used,

Betrayed by love, I thought was true,

I gave my heart, and now I rue.

The tears flow freely down my face,

As memories of you I cannot erase,

The laughter and the joy we shared,

Now replaced by pain and despair.

I thought our love was meant to be,

But now I see it was just a fantasy,

You were never truly mine to hold,

And now my heart is left out in the cold.

I try to move on, to let you go,

But the pain lingers, it moves so slow,

I hope someday I'll find love again,

But until then, I'll live with this pain.

So here I am, a broken heart,

Torn apart, falling apart,

But I know I'll heal in time,

And learn to love again, and shine.
