A beating

I lost a bar fight once

By ViliPublished 7 months ago 1 min read

Decibels ringing left and right

Night's static in my head feels like a threat

But the trap is the pause that I grab

Notice that twitch in my pulse

Silence's waltz and vibration, the pain air tight ,no sound

Memory's jaw crunches

Just pressure built raw

Punched in me til I face the sky

It cracks without a whisper

And as I finally rest,

Before I feel the fractures,

Morning creeps homely

Light bending sideways in the grip of sweat
