She lifts you up, when you feel low
She helps you grow, and helps you flow
She encourages you to be your best
And helps you pass life's toughest tests
She is a role model, in every sense
Her influence, immense
She inspires us to be better people
And helps us, in every steeple
So here's to you, dear role model
For all that you do, and all that you've shown

This is the first principle that I tell myself. You have to make the front part of your brain aware, which includes focus, foresight, motivation, and control.
