9 Times Too Many

Last time sharing a bed

By Francis LPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Nine tails scrubbed me* daily and nights.

One day, I took the decision :

My body is not to share

Over your desired fire* !

Rest, I'll go retire*

Elsewhere to care ;

No passion

Or plight

Wins

.

(note : this poem is written to enter the Breakup Nonet Challenge with one referred syllable counter, but this one provides strange results : 2 syllables for "scrubbed" - one more than expected - and 2 for "desires" - one less than expected)

(with an other counting method : *my corpse /*desires/ ...)
