7 Years

It's been 7 years

Since I tried to take my life.

This topic is taboo,

And not spoken of very much.

But it's time that ends,

And we take a stand.

I went through many hardships,

And so many obstacles to overcome.

But I came out a better person,

Despite everything in my past. 

7 years of memories,

I wouldn't have if I succeeded.

7 years of accomplishments,

I wouldn't have if I succeeded.

7 years of pure happiness and utter sadness,

I wouldn't have if I succeeded. 

Not every day is going to be good,

But you can control your life.

You can control your attitude,

And how to respond to everything. 

Not every day will be good,

But you can make it better.

Only you have the power,

To make change in your life. 

If you're not happy,

Make changes.

Your life is whatever you make it,

And let's make it good.

Let's make it happy, and full of love and life, let's make it one you'll never want to end. 

7 years ago, I tried to take my life.

But I failed, because of that failure

I'm able to do what I truly want in life.

I have the power to make it whatever I want, and so do you. 

Don't let that power go away,

And certainly don't give that power away.

Only you can control what happens in your life,

And you deserve to have a good one. 

7 years, and I'm still here.
