7 Consuming Letters

Life is more than a glimpse of what we can behold.

The moon without an eclipse. Darkness changes what one can see, but not what is. Light reveals what is. Our lives are but a moment. Photo by Bria Blauvelt

Earthen vessels awaken by the shore.

Clearing my thoughts I breathe in once more.

Lapses of time change all that I can see.

Ivory shells glistening by a tree.

Perhaps I had become accustomed to their shine.

Suffering came silently as darkness enclosed and they began to fade with time.

Earthen vessels I now see, do sleep, for they are seen no more like the darkness of the deep.
