Almonds crushed by stone

Teeth with such great force,

Sparks threaten to burn.

Saliva smothers.

A small squeak carried through air,

So unsatisfactory,

The mouth must try it again.

There must be a stronger crunch.

Hundreds of almonds

Tested by earth and

Fire and water.

Failed by the damn wind.
