Lust is a flame that one can’t ignore,

Like a backdraft exploding through an open door.

Love, on the other hand, seeps through the cracks,

A promise that sets, like sealing wax,

Pacts filling the gaps in mind, heart, and soul

As two separate parts take shape as one whole.
