June 12

320 in the attendance

Came to dance on a Saturday night

Latin night

All the beautiful people

Having fun like it’s the summer sun beaming on them

Music singing to them

Inspiring them to be themselves

Free to love for the ones they love

Nearly 2 am

A strange man

A mad man filled with anger and hate

He tames as live baits

Ricochet

Taking aim fired shots

One by one

Shot down

Going down

Taking their lives

They died like flies

49 lives

Dying on the dance floor

June 12th, 2025

Nearly ten years

Put us to tears

Hurt like spears pierced to the chest

Now they are at rest

Like we were still there

That unfortunate night

There were 49 lives

Taking away
