Pushing through

You ever close your eyes and see a certain face … but remember the hurtful things they did to you which makes it hard for you to erase… the hurt they cause the pain you feel day to day… there’s not enough time going by to push the pain away

You ever close your eyes and see that person face … knowing the whole time they had you in a bad place … mentally and spiritually broken down … working everyday to keep yourself above ground

You ever close your eyes and tears begin to flow… you had to pray your way out that space it was so hard to let go… 4380 days of a life I was trying so hard to forget … 4380 days in a situation I know was never meant

heartbreak

A very relatable poem. I'm sure everyone has experienced at least one heartbreak that was hard to shake. Well written poem that is using words that rhyme, but it's not cliche.
