i spiral out of control
there’s nothing there to hold
no hands to break my fall
i am sinking into a void of my own cries
no one can hear me way down there
my voice is strangled by my own tears
it feels like drowning
choking on water
the deep black lightless waters
unforgiving is the sea
that washes away what’s left of me
until my bones are licked clean
of everything that gave me life
you to me are like the sea
taking every part of me
you suck me dry of everything
that one made me who i am
