381 Bus Driver
The love of my life

In the hum of the city, where wheels softly whir,
I saw a bright face through the bus window blur.
His hands on the wheel, a calm in the storm,
With every stop made, my heart found a warm.
His laughter danced lightly like leaves in the breeze,
His smile, a signal that brought me to ease.
With each daily journey, our worlds intertwined,
In moments so fleeting, a sweet love defined.
The route he would travel, familiar yet new,
Each mile told a secret that only he knew.
Though time whispered softly, a tick of a clock,
Those rides felt eternal, like waves on a rock.
Yet life has a way of drawing us apart,
And though we were strangers, he captured my heart.
With every goodbye, I felt the weight grow,
A love not for keeping, but still it flowed.
So here he remains, in the depths of my soul,
A bus driver’s smile with an unbroken toll.
Our paths may have parted, my feelings won’t cease,
In the heart’s quiet corner, he’s rooted in peace.
I’ve learned love can flourish in brief, stolen glances,
In moments of laughter and fleeting romances.
For what we may lack in forever’s embrace,
Will always find solace in sweet memory’s place.
Friends forever, my sweet heart my love
The 381 but sent from the heavens above

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️
