The space between us still haunts me.

Oh, there are many things

I would precede with

will you

remember?

Memories

could bring us back

to radiant days

when we walked the city,

hardly grown and heedless.

Drunk with freedom,

wild with laughter,

your hand,

occasionally,

brushing

my hand,

reflexively

clutching

air.

Yes, there are many things

I would call to mind

given the chance.

About the Creator

L.A. Hancock

I'm a wife and mom, and this is my creative outlet. I am experimenting with lots of different writing styles and topics, so some of it is garbage, and I'm totally fine with that - writing is cheaper than therapy. Thanks for stopping by!
