Time for MY smile & MY happy heart... it's time for me to quit falling apart.
Let's say it loud & clear... to all these takers & soul suckers ...
the self righteous fools & 'ur-outta- luckers',
It's a new day & there's a new promise to be made.
A promise of self preservation & care,
a promise to return to them, at least their fair share.
Fed up, no doubt, but not backing down.
Sick to death of wearing a frown.
Here & now, it should it be known;
They need to step down from that self-proclaimed thrown;
I'm my own person, & I'm good enough, even alone...
Remember, We all live in glass houses & must mind our own stones.

A Dart at Dusk
Seconds ago, the sullen sun set on the two of us… my exuberant furry companion and me. A fresh breeze embraces us, delivering welcome relief from the day’s oppressive heat. His typical stumbling and staggering along — apace with a sloth — has turned into trip-trapping, high-stepping, almost skipping along.
