So, while we're here in this moment, let's take control of this turn
I live in fear but when I'm here I'm only living to learn
If we're drowning, we're only doubting what life wants to preserve
We build the rafts with the blurred images of dying concerns
We refer to what we love as what we love to prefer
Convince our preference to reference and simply concur
But when acceptance isn't effortless, we question the curve
And live in reckless second-guessing, precious thoughts to the birds
If there's a tension, there's an elegance, a beauty to hurt
We're underwater but we're dancing to the hum of the earth
And if I get to be with you when I'm asleep, then it worked
We'll use the tears as an ocean and watch the whole city burn.
