16 months

It comes soon,

It will be 16 months without you in our lives,

I remember this date when you were called to receive your wings.

These wings would fit you well my dear,

Who knew your wings would be so golden,

Wings that have been on for 16 months,

You have missed our wedding anniversary, birthday and other things in these 16 months.

16 months seems like a lifetime for me,

We spend almost 30 years together as husband and wife, but these pasted 16 months seem to be the harder on me,

Sometime a butterfly or a cardinal will come by to brighten my life and make me think of you.
