A Poem

You think I’m hurting you

But I’m destroying myself

There is no health or wealth where I am

Was it all a sham

I asked you that way

Because I didn’t know what you’d say

If it was “no way” I could say it was just for play

But here we are today

Shuffling through the ruin

Of a love no more true

Than any other

When the road meets the rubber

All you have is each other
