Seville at Hilltop brings new hope to Montgomery community
A look inside the new location

Today I had the pleasure of visiting the new home for Montgomerys well-known local business, Seville Salon, now known as Seville at Hilltop. When I arrived, the door was open, welcoming anyone freely into the shop. I was greeted by Malerie Bussell and Jessica Toole. The vibes were bright and airy as I walked in thanks to the big window letting the outside light shine in, creating a happy and feel-good environment. So, I decided I would definitely be taking some photos. (I may have already been dying to take some photos but walking into the shop sealed the deal.)
Seville at Hilltop is located at 5 N Goldthwaite St. in downtown Montgomery. The area is not popular-YET. But I believe Seville has set the tone and is bringing new hope to the area. The spaces around it look to be the future homes of other local businesses. One being The Cheesecake Empori-yum. This is exactly what the doctor ordered for Montgomery and I can’t wait to see how it all develops in the coming years. It’s going to take some hard work, as it did for Jen and her crew, as well. But I have no doubt that it will be a hot spot in the near future. And its already getting *spicy*.

My appointment was with Malerie and she politely gave her chair over to me and I sat down. I’m not going to lie, I was a little nervous. I haven’t been very social since the pandemic has been well underway for about a year now. But conversation became easy in no time.
When you come into the shop, you can enjoy a complimentary refreshment. This is something Seville Salon has always offered but it is still a nice pick-me-up. And this isn’t just a place for women, it is a place for everyone. “Hate Has No Home Here.” <3
If you’re wondering about the dog in the photo, his name is Hank. Jen Powell, the head honcho as her name plate says, came into the salon not long after I arrived with this cutie in tow! He showed up in her yard and she decided she was going to get this guy set up for success so he can find a forever home. He was our temporary shop dog for the day. He offered free lovins, sniffs and snuggles. He was so sweet to everyone who walked into the door! This is a perfect example to show how, at this business, you can come in and there’s a spot for you, no matter who or what you are!

I can’t help but to extend my invitation, if that’s what you’d like to call it, to come and spend the day at Seville. While I was waiting for my hair to do it’s thang, I took the liberty to snap as many photos as I could to give you all an insight to the new location. I am a sucker for a place with positive vibes and if that’s what you are searching for, then look no further than Seville at Hilltop!

If you’d like to schedule an appointment with one of the lovely ladies at Seville, go to www.vagaro.com/SevilleatHilltop or you can find contact info below. I didn’t want to spoil ALL the great local artwork, either. So you gotta go see for yourself. :)
