Background

Alexus was born in Fresno, California to her mother, Tracy on April 6th, a leader was born. From that moment, she was destined to become greatness. In her childhood, she had to love herself more and more each day from trauma that she endured as a young girl. She hoped that the walk would be full of life. It’s not easy, yearning for self love, removing self doubt, and desiring to be on the right route. Ms. Hayes, is a bright and beautiful woman that made me understand why loving myself was so important. As her purpose became more clearer, she and her family moved to Atlanta, GA in 2008, it was the time to pour into self, give self a real chance, while having nothing to lose and everything to gain. She had to stop chasing this pain and add value to her name. Publishing and marketing her work while staying focused was the end goal. She had to find self-love and do the hard work now because she owed it to herself. She had to stop running from self love, give self a big hug, and run fearlessly into herself. She took action on self, self has won, not with defeat, but with a clear and defined seat. She set an example for her best friend Shanice, and it was okay to mourn and grief during the passing of her grandfather, while understanding this time is for her. She gave into self, soaked up self, and brought love to the forefront of her life. My best friend got back in tune with herself, all to the broken, all to the doubt, seeking self, telling self, this is it. She was getting herself together emotionally, physically, and mentally, no matter how long this process takes. She knew she couldn’t let herself or friends down, it was a bigger picture at hand.

Business

After graduating high school with nobility and honor, she began building a successful career in Atlanta, GA as a Creativepreneur and Natural Beautician. She always had aspirations of being an entrepreneur and known for being a dedicated sister and respected business owner in the district for Aesthetics. She understands that in today’s society, the quality of her services needs to captivate all markets. In an industry such as this, it is significant to have thriving personnel represent our community to be able to engage, learn, and cultivate other individuals throughout their journey. My best friend has strong leadership skills, demonstrated by the numerous aspects of the business including: financial, marketing, project management, and planning. Alexus created a beautiful platform for her handmade jewelry, art, and tribal wear that intrigues all of our culture. I love how ambitious she is and I’m excited every time a new piece of her business has expanded into something greater. It makes me feel like a kid again, seeing her dreams come true, it’s unfolding right in front of our eyes. She has great potential and will exceed in her expectations that she has in place. I admire her strength to keep going even when faced with obstacles. Beyond my wildest dreams, she has grasped the concept that, consistency and a true passion for what you love, will always fulfill her deep in her heart. Alexus’s brand sheds tremendous light on breaking through past traumas in life and truly experiencing deep/meaningful relationships.

My Impact

Everything unraveled in our world and verbal, physical, mental, and emotional abuse took place in my residence. As a young woman, we all wonder whether we’re on the right path, my best friend did absolutely fantastic with all of the wisdom/resources she had spoke into me. Sometimes, I may not like to express the hurt I’m going through but, she pushes and challenges me on multiple levels to develop healthier habits to move forward in life in a positive manner. When I lean into the experience of her and trusting her with my emotions, I feel a sense of empowerment. She began to pour into me even though it drained her sometimes, I’ve hurt her in the past and I wasn’t proud of my actions. I had to learn how to take care of our friendship and treat her with respect. Times when I didn’t comprehend that I had someone who loved me unconditionally as her little sister, I took advantage of her heart. I still fault myself for a lot things that I may not express but she’s a beautiful butterfly in my eyes that came into my life for a reason. She’s made such a profound impact on me but, sometimes I just cry at night because I wonder why I’m so lucky to have her in my life. I began to see why things were happening in my life and why she was along side of me, guiding me to deal with the inner conflict within myself. Over the course of our friendship, I became sad because she wasn’t always physically with me. When we were younger, I wanted to be the big sister but I understand now that she’s the big sister that I never had. It makes me proud to say that I know her and how she’s been very influential to many women around the world seeking their true purpose. I hope to grow old with her and obtain wisdom that only can be taught through experience.

In the past, I’ve turned to drugs, sex, and alcohol to cope with my issues in childhood trauma. This woman and I have had numerous conversations pulling me out of those toxic environments and exposing what really needed to be dealt with. I could no longer blame everyone else for my mistakes and upbringing, some of my wounds were self inflicted. I had to make up in my mind that I needed this change for myself. I had to break down why I was attracted and addicted to pain. She met me where I was in my addictions and began to work through some of the most painful experiences of mine. It wasn’t easy and I had to be willing to do the inner work on my end. At times, I still find myself pulling back because I may be scared but I know my feelings are safe with her. I truly believe we don’t make it in this world by ourselves. We don’t obtain success by ourselves and just forget those people who were there for us. She is someone who sees the real me and knows when I need to talk, or just listen. She gets so excited about the smallest things and I love that about her. She’s a role model to me and I know that I’m not alone, we all serve a unique and clear purpose. I want her to be happy in all that she does and to truly see me as a woman who has conquered all of her wrongdoings. That’s the type of impact I want in my life and for my children.

Collaboration

In today’s society, the perspective of being successful and working with other women can differ especially in different cultures. So many times we avoid what is going on to satisfy the needs of others. There are many different ways to educate everyone in being responsible and understanding the importance of ownership. It is a huge concern to me, that people don’t realize the significance of breaking down communication, with topics, molds and shapes an individual’s thinking patterns or behaviors. It signifies a judgement is clear and the factors that come along certainly matter. How we take this into consideration, while having the determination to realize we are the voice for the future ultimately, will affect our ability to express how we are being viewed. In any business, presentation is everything and we have to realize, this generation is very intelligent and has a lot to offer this world. In a world full of technology and rising careers, entrepreneurship has been increasing over time. With various outlets, there are numerous positions anybody can take to increase their expertise in: carpentry, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, culinary, automotive, etc.

Alexus and I decided to partner together to create a Podcast that can reach many women over the world. We both have different perspectives that we both feel we can pull from to help dissect each topic. It’s very liberating to work with her and get another viewpoint on many issues such as: lifestyle, dating, and business. She’s shown me how to have a balance in our conversations and to be honest and accountable. I am thankful that she really knows the core me and I feel like I’m reintroducing a version of myself to her. Collaborating gave me life and allowed me to express how I truly feel. I wholeheartedly am proud of our progress and enjoy our journey together. I’m very appreciative that she can see all the layers of me and we’re able to speak on our experiences. I know that our platform reaches many women and men across the world. We are stronger together and glad she’s here to see all of the efforts we both made.

Remarkably, when you collaborate with your best friend, there are various avenues people can take in order to fulfill multiple goals. You need a special kind of communication style to see a positive goal to work toward. When you’re not willing to work toward dealing with your inner trauma, these are some things that may occur: domestic violence, depression, and suicide.The quality of being protected and staying alert is crucial. When it is reckoned that lack of self awareness is going on, substance abuse and low educational achievement become a factor as well. There are some behaviors that individual’s pick up on if one of the parents are being abused, degraded, or not being heard and are less likely to turn to the other for support. It is devastating to see anyone go through such challenging times, especially when transitioning with becoming a young adult. In relation to it, you should feel comfortable talking to someone. Further research shows, you can shape one's personality around prevention strategies and defense mechanisms to enhance those skills to improve decision making.

Continuous Inspiration

Obtaining the fundamentals and learning about different ways to incorporate both perspectives to come to a mutual agreement in the betterment of the business, is a great testimony in itself. Stressors in life help you see different areas that can lead to breakthroughs in communication styles. We are the advocates to many who argue for effective and intense therapy, to take place for adults and children. It is a strong method to incorporate opinions that are valuable and stand out. A reflection on it can interpret some strategies to integrate a healthy work/life balance and showcase the young adults how to manage this lifestyle. Each opportunity to help out significantly will increase a great outcome. There are as many people that need a voice and by standing up for them, fills that void. Alexus continues to showcase her strength by the way she carries herself and helping me grow as a better woman.

How am I different because of this woman?

I am able to express gratitude towards her and thank her for pushing me to publish my poetry. I realize that the art of communication is the language of leadership. Tell a different story and your value will go up. Love let the veil go away and let my best friend see the true her. Love directed her intentions, cut through the pain, tore down walls, shed light, and made fear run away. Love gave life to a pre-destined woman that came to fulfill her duties. Love pushed her to her dreams and taught her to never settle for less. BE BOLD. TAKE RISKS. LIVE LIFE FREELY. LEAD BY EXAMPLE. TRUST YOUR GUT. SAY WHAT YOU FEEL. MEAN WHAT YOU SAY. EXPRESS GRATITUDE. Love calmed the inside of her, drowned out self doubt, uplifted my inner voice, and held her together. Love helped her maintain her emotions and to never dwell in the pain; it established a pattern that she can deal with daily issues in a healthier manner. Love made her realize what really focusing on herself meant and how to press forward.
