Last blog, I talked about the dangers of stress, especially when it is constant. Not only does it affect your mood and how you look, it can affect your relationships. You might be too stressed to be a good wife and mother (or husband and father). You might take out all of your frustrations on the most important people in your life. You will also notice some health effects, whether you just have trouble sleeping or you might get diagnosed with high blood pressure. You might end up with anxiety, depression, or even worse, you could have a heart attack.

So, how can you deal with stress better?

When you get home from the office, forget about it.

Change your clothes and your state of mind. If you work from home, try to keep all of your work things in a certain area so you can just put it away.

Remember to breathe.

Everyone laughs but taking time to breathe can be helpful. Just stay quiet and really concentrate on breathing in and out.

Spend time outside and just enjoy nature.

People who spend time outside are happier. There is nothing better than sitting outside and letting the sun hit your face. Watch the sun go down (or come up if you are a very early morning person).

Remember to laugh.

Laughter is great for your health. How can you remain angry and tense when you can’t stop laughing? Find people who make you laugh and spend time with them every day.

Make sure that you find time to exercise as often as you can.

Many people find that exercising regularly is great for stress relief. Sweat it all out!

Don’t overdo it on the weekends.

Yes, weekends are for catching up and spending time with family and friends. However, you should spend some time doing things that you enjoy and relax. You do not have to run around all weekend long.

Spend time with your loved ones.

You should spend quality time with your loved ones, including both your family and your friends. You work hard for them, and you deserve to enjoy time with them. You shouldn't feel guilty for this!

Find hobbies that you enjoy and make time to do them.

Hobbies are only good if they relax you and you find time to do them. Many people love to read, fish, bike, and much more to relax.

Walk away for a moment if you can.

Sometimes, you just need to walk away before you explode. If you can take a short walk outside, that would be even better.

Take vacations.

Studies have shown that it is better to take several long weekends than one long week of vacation. Mini breaks are important for recharging your batteries.

Put away your phones for at least half an hour a day.

This would be best if you could do it for longer periods of time but any time that you can forget about calling people and checking your email is good.

Stress can be very bad for you and your health. It is important to find a balance so that you are happy and healthy. When you are done with work or your business, it is time to put it away. Change your clothes and be in the moment at home.

Find time to exercise. Spend time with people you love and make sure that you laugh. When you do have time off, do not spend it rushing from place to place. Instead, sit and enjoy the time. Spend time outside and without your phone. Find a hobby and make time to do it.
