Tapping into your true potential

Another day crossed off of the calendar, another week has reached its end. Months torn off like leaves falling in Autumn. As Summer approaches, how are you feeling about your goals set for yourself in the beginning of the year? Back in January you were eager, maybe even persistent. The snow fell but you aimed your sights on your future accomplishments with the intention of achieving them. So, as the heat returns, and the rain saturates the muddy ground, how much have you transitioned yourself?

If you’re in the “meh, it was a good attempt,” category, I have a question for you? Why? Do you attribute it to lack of motivation? Maybe you feel you did not desire it as much as you thought? Could it be hurdles you haven't quite been able to jump over? It very well could be, right? But what if it’s something else? What if, subconsciously, you believe that you do not deserve it? Yes, I hear you, why would you ever believe that you don’t deserve it, of course you do! I hear you. Hear me out though.

Have you ever had someone question your abilities? Did they make a subtle comment about your inexperience? Perhaps a passive aggressive look that you shrugged off in the moment. You didn't think much of it. You walked away not aware that a tiny sliver of cynicism seeped through the crevices of your thoughts and implanted itself in between the folds of your contemplations. Now, as you approach that goal, that dream, that thing you clutched your hopes around, small little sparks of pessimism start to leak out. Suddenly, you're escaping the doubt by filling in your time with things you suddenly deem more important. The magic of the “what ifs” evaporate into a desert of self destruction, and now your ambitions are falling apart.

How much further would you be today if you just kept going? If you treated discouragement like the common cold? Acknowledge the ill attempts, nurse yourself back to health, and get back to your goals; leaving the negative thinking in the past or even giving it back to the person you caught it from in the first place.

No, I am not a psychologist, and I don't have have a 10 step program to get you through pessimistic attacks, but I am a child of the Universe. I fully believe she gives you what you ask for. So, if you’re asking for excuses and road blocks - subconsciously - I fully believe that is what will be delivered to you. Did you know she believes that you are as majestic and magical as you think she is. She is in awe of what you are. The question is, are you in awe of yourself? Do you understand how beautiful and amazing of a creature you are? Do you know that you are worthy?

You are not the capabilities other people place on you. You are the capabilities you place on yourself. What if you had more faith in what it is that you are truly capable of? You are good enough, talented enough, beautiful enough, happy enough… you are enough! Yes, becoming great at something requires hard work and dedication - but you are not going to be consistent if you tell yourself that you are not good enough. You absolutely deserve everything you want and should absolutely shoot for all of it. Go for it and stop letting other people decide whether or not you should.

The materials that make up what you are are the same materials that built the vast Universe! What do you mean you don’t know if you can do it? Have you seen what the Universe can do? Have you seen all that you have already done? Show the Universe just how worthy you are so she can prove you right.
