At 44, I would advise my 20-year-old self on how to achieve financial success more quickly. Here’s what I would say:

1. Don’t become skilled at something you dislike. Focus on what you enjoy. You can hire someone for tasks you hate.

2. Establish a consistent sleep schedule. Go to bed and wake up at the same time daily. This habit improves productivity.

3. Take care of your body. Health allows you to pursue many goals. A lack of health limits your options.

4. Surround yourself with supportive people. Distance yourself from those who drain your energy. Seek out those who encourage you.

5. Allow others to remain in their reality. You don’t need to argue with their beliefs. Focus on your journey instead.

6. Humility is about thinking of others more than yourself. Confidence can coexist with a service-oriented mindset.

7. You will face tests when you're about to grow. These moments challenge you to prove your worth.

8. Strive for daily self-improvement. Aim to be just 1% better every day.

9. Teach others how to treat you. Set boundaries and communicate your preferences to establish respect.

10. It's better to realize you've made a wrong choice than to remain in an uncomfortable situation. Move on quickly.

11. Seeking a sign may be a sign in itself. Sometimes, reaching rock bottom is where growth begins.

12. Your struggles do not diminish you. They build your character and resilience.

13. When you need nothing, you attract everything. Seek self-sufficiency for true abundance.

14. Prepare for misunderstanding on the path to your goals. Those who doubt you may celebrate your successes later.

15. When success comes easily, push yourself harder. Remember your initial drive and keep striving.

16. Seek guidance from those who have achieved your desired goals. Their insights are invaluable.

17. It’s okay to say no. Prioritize your feelings and boundaries.

18. Shine your light without concern for others’ comfort. Authenticity is key.

19. Have a clear purpose in life. A primary aim fuels motivation.

20. Study books rather than just reading them. Engage deeply to apply their lessons.

21. Assume positive intent from others. This mindset prevents unnecessary negativity.

22. Prioritize your own well-being. You can’t help others without first taking care of yourself.

23. Embrace challenges. The quality of your life improves as you tackle bigger problems.

24. Changing your life requires letting go of the past. Reassess your habits and environment.

25. Confidence grows from keeping promises to yourself. Follow through on your commitments.

26. Commit to long-term goals. Progress takes time and consistent effort.

27. Treat others how you want to be treated. Kindness leads to deeper relationships.

28. Acknowledge others’ successes. Your words can significantly impact someone’s life.

29. If you continually encounter negative people, reflect on your role. You may be the source of the drama.

30. Avoid gossip and drama. Focus on constructive and positive pursuits.

31. Fear can cloud your judgment. Seek advice during challenging times from others.

32. It's never too late to change. Every day is an opportunity to start anew.

33. Let go of vices that hold you back. Freedom from these can lead to growth.

34. If your phone distracts you, seek more engaging activities. Explore new interests outside of digital screens.

35. Accept more responsibility. Being available opens doors to new opportunities.

36. Take responsibility for your circumstances. Blame undermines your control over your life.

37. Be grateful for what you have, but also aspire for more. It's a balance between appreciation and ambition.

38. Make time for what matters. Prioritize relationships and commitments.

39. Respect is earned through admiration, not fear. Follow leaders who inspire you.

40. Your life reflects your internal state. Improve yourself to see positive changes in your surroundings.
