Most people are open to making changes in their lives to become happier and more successful. Few people follow through with it however. The thought of committing to things that will change our lives is daunting.
Focusing on huge steps to move forward feels like a massive under-taking. Start moving forward by taking smaller and more simple steps. Ones you can implement immediately.
Start By Reprogramming Your Mind To Stay Positive
Our thoughts and actions are influenced by our feelings. Negativity is all around us. There is nothing we can do about it, except to learn to reprogram our minds to stay positive.
You can take charge of your thoughts by:
- Keeping a gratitude journal.
_ Creating and repeating positive affirmations that acknowledge the progress we are making.
- Surrounding ourselves with positive people who lift our spirits.
- Don't acknowledge negative thoughts.
- Stay active. Exercise releases endorphins.
Set Your Alarm Half An Hour Earlier
Successful people get up early. This gives you time to exercise, meditate, read and have breakfast with the family.
Clean Up After Yourself
If you don't stay on top of your minor chores, they quickly build up. People who clean up after themselves tend to be happier as well as more successful.
It makes you feel accomplished and gives you a sense of control.
Don't Be Predictable
Doing the same things each day puts you in a rut. Break out of your comfort zone at least once a week. Do something new that you haven't done before.
Opening yourself up to new experiences makes you happier and changes your perspectives. It helps you recognize new opportunities, boosts energy and makes you more receptive to change.
Swap Complaining For Expressing Gratitude
Always try to remain optimistic even through the darkest times. Daily discussion of gratitude can increase alertness, enthusiasm, determination, attentiveness, energy and sleep duration. It can also lower depression.
Tackle One Thing You Have Been Putting Off
Setting priorities includes making certain seemingly small tasks don't build up until you have to spend an entire day catching up.
List your priorities for the day. Add a long standing chore to your to-do-list. You will feel much better and more productive.

To Become happy, you must simply decided to be that person. Don't make excuses to avoid being honest with yourself and about who you are..
Think about what you really want from life. Be that person right now!
Let It Go
Don't try and control things that are beyond your control. This only wastes your energy. Focus on the things within your influence. Find peace and acceptance of the rest.
Live For Now
Don't live in the past. Don't blame current reality on past experiences. Remember, every morning is a new morning.
Don't waste all of your time dreaming of the future. You are missing out on opportunities today!
Accept the past and live in the moment.
Expect The Best
By expecting things to turn out well, they usually do. Expecting to be disappointed and let down will probably mean you will.
You are not being naive or ignorant. Optimism is about expectations.
Back Yourself
To create success in life is believing in it. Believe in your dreams, ideas and yourself. Don't let others lead you away from your dreams. They are governed by their own fears, self-doubt and limiting beliefs.
When you believe, things become possible!
Get Out Of Your Way
Take ownership of the possibilities in your life. Don't blame others, the past and other situations for your circumstances. You are the only person who can hold you back in life.
Give All You Can
Be generous. Not just with gifts, but of yourself. Give your time, energy and spirit. Avoid judgement of others. What you give in life will determine what you receive.
Keep It Up
It won't be easy and you probably won't have everything you want in life, but if your desires are genuine, over time, things will begin to come to you with ease.
Don't give up! Stay committed and be the best you can be.
Be Brave
Do the right thing, not the easy thing. Courage is about doing the right thing for you and having the courage to do it, even if it feels like the hardest thing in the world.
