The first genre which I love the most and is very close to my heart is "Indian Classical Music" after all, I am an Indian.

Genre- Classical

Indian Classical Music

Playing classical music while writing is something which I love the most. Well, I am a person who believes in quality rather than, therefore, while writing I don't listen to too many genres. I prefer listening to these specific genres and one of them is from Indian classical music.

Whether it's Raag Bhairavi or Raag Malhar, the time I tune into it, I am into some other world that can only be experienced. Now, there are people who are less aware of Indian classical music and Ragas, so let's brief them a little bit about it.

Indian classical music is the music of the Indian subcontinent which is divided into two major traditions: the North Indian classical music tradition(called Hindustani) and the South Indian expression (called Carnatic). Indian classical music is a rich tradition that originated in South Asia and found worldwide. Speaking about its origin, it belongs to sacred Vedic scriptures over 6,000 years ago where chants build a system of musical notes and rhythmic cycles. And that's why Indian classical music is connected to nature. The inspiration has been taken from natural phenomena including the seasons as well as times of the day which create ‘ragas’ or musical moods.

Ragas

Derivation from scales is called Raags. In simple words, scale is a melodic topic that is made by picking a certain arrangement of notes from inside these 12 notes. Ragas are classified into two types:

1.Ragas by Structure

2.Ragas by Scale

Under these two categories, there are several ragas but the one that has stolen my heart is "RAAG BHAIRAVI". The one which keeps my creative flow going is " Raag Bhairavi by Anoushka Shankar" who is a British Indian sitar player, composer and the daughter of Pandit Shri Ravi Shankar and Sukanya Rajan.

Anoushka Shankar is one of the tremendous Indian sitar players who has played this Raag beautifully. I love the way she had played the rhythm as it keeps the listener engaged. I prefer listening to this because it creates no hindrance while I am drafting. I feel more calm and composed and light as well.

2.Genre- Spiritual

Mantras

Indian culture, especially Hindusim is incomplete without mantras. There are thousands of mantras and each mantra has its own vibration and meaning. A mantra is a sacred utterance, a numinous sound, a syllable, word or phonemes, or gathering of words in Sanskrit, Pali, and different dialects accepted by practitioners to have religious, magical, or spiritual powers. A few mantras have a syntactic design and literal meaning, while others don't.

You will be surprised to know that mantras are full of benefits such as increased self-awareness, lower stress level, a greater sense of calm, better self-compassion, , and provide you positive outlooks towards life. Gayatri Mantra, Mahamritunjaya Mantra, Om Mantra are some of them. The one which I prefer while working is the Mahamritunjaya mantra.

Mahamritunjaya Mantra

"OM. Tryambakam yajamahe Sugandhim pushti-vardhanam Urvarukamiva bandhanan Mrityor mukshiya mamritat"

Mahamrityunjaya Mantra is a stanza from the Rig Veda and is viewed as the most remarkable Shiva Mantra. It presents life span, avoids disasters, and prevents inconvenient demise. It additionally eliminates fears and mends comprehensively. This interminable mantra is likewise a piece of the Yajurveda. The greatest advantage of this mantra is that" it can pull the individual from the mouth of death. On the off chance that you have faith in Lord Shiva, there could be no more excellent choice than reciting this mantra to please him. It is said that Lord Shiva has triumphed over death. In the event that somebody in your home is exceptionally sick and that sickness will be the reason for its end, at that point by reciting Mahamrityunjaya Mantra you can please Lord Shiva.

Listening to the Mahamrityunjaya mantra while working gives me inner peace and boosts my concentration. I feel more relaxed and you know, creativity flows when you are relaxed from inside out.

Genre- Ghazals

The next genre of music which you will find in my playlist is "Ghazals". The ghazal is a type of loving sonnet or tribute, beginning in Arabic verse. A ghazal might be perceived as a beautiful articulation of both the agony of misfortune or division and the excellence of adoration notwithstanding that torment. As referenced, the ghazal is a type of passionate sonnet or tribute that implies its lethargic and very quieting.

Though there are various ghazal artists, the artist which I love the most is Late Jagjit Singh. Whether it's" Tere Aane Ki Jab Khabar Mehke" or "Hoshwalon Ko Khabar", my ears will never get tired of listening to any of his compositions

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBq7-scYFWI

"tere aane kī jab ḳhabar mahke

terī ḳhushbū se saarā ghar mahke

shaam mahke tire tasavvur se

shaam ke ba.ad phir sahar mahke

raat bhar sochtā rahā tujh ko

zehn-o-dil mere raat bhar mahke "

Words so pure and meaningful that it's hard not to indulge your soul in them. If you are a ghazal lover just like me, you have to add this to your playlist and can thank me later!

Genre- Instrumental

Last, but one of my favorites is "Instrumental Music". An instrumental is a recording without vocals, despite the fact that it may incorporate some bumbling vocals, for example, yelled reinforcement vocals in a major band setting. Through semantic enlarging, a more extensive feeling of the word tune may allude to instrumentals.

Well, in this genre, there is not 1, not 2 but 5 different kinds of instrumental music which I don't mind listening to on repeat mode.

1.City Of Stars- Mia and Sebastian's Theme

2.Amitabh and Anil Kapoor--euphony Armaan

3.Bahon Ke Darmiyan

4.Electric Daisy Violin- Lindsey Stirling

5. Jashn-E-Bahaaraa (Instrumental Music) - Jodhaa Akbar

Instrumental music is for those who are more interested in soulful kind of music.

I hope, you like my suggestions, and yes you are free to add these to your playlist. Trust me I won't mind.
