The story of musically gifted Sujoy

Sujoy ,Born and raised in New York, has a love for music that dates back to before he could remember. As recounted by his Father, Sujoy as an infant would not be able to sleep unless taken in the car and driven around, music playing, until the sounds would lull him to sleep at night. He began to teach himself how to play guitar, so that he could accompany himself while he sang. Learning to play guitar and sing provided Sujoy with an outlet of expression that he had not known before. Today, Sujoy's love for music is driven by music’s ability to act as an extension of himself which he can share with the world. He creates music in hopes of changing people's lives and everyday moments. He draws inspiration from all things around him, learning from his past mistakes, triumphs, relationships and confrontations.

He strives to continue growing as a musician, artist and entrepreneur. In 5 years, Sujoy hopes to develop music and a brand that people can be proud of by association. A community that brings people together because of the music and emotion that comes with it. He loves music because, as a universal language, it shares experience, communicates and tells a story. It resonates with people regardless of race, gender, upbringing, culture, age or any denomination. Sujoy cites Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, John Mayer and Max Martin amongst a list of creative minds that inspire his musical journey. Music also is a very meditative experience for him, in which he can fully live in the moment and experience release from day to day worries and tension. He experiences “getting in the zone” or flow state when he gets to record, song-write or produce songs in the box.

Sujoy uniquely brings a perspective of being trained in Hindustani (Indian Classical) music by gurus in India, and western contemporary and classical music at the University of Southern California (USC). He hopes to implicitly and explicitly use his acquired skills in his performing, writing and storytelling exhibited by his music and compositions. USC helped push the envelope in regards to what opportunities Sujoy saw he could take advantage of in terms of how his career could evolve. He aspires to score soundtracks for films along with composing for video games and illustrate to audiences how emotive his music and the cinematic arts can be. He hopes to shine light on his personal experience as an Indian-American and the patriotic feelings he has towards being American while also being proud of his Indian Heritage. He finds that we should all celebrate our differences, but not harp on them because fundamentally we all implicitly have the same desire; to experience and grow. Through his music and through his experiences of traveling the world and embracing various cultures, languages and lifestyles he wants to convey cultural appreciation and unity of different nations, cultures & music. Sujoy searches to spark a cultural zeitgeist that conveys the similarity of all people. He’s an accomplished music producer and songwriter that has collaborated with producers and music managers/supervisors from Interscope records & Atlantic records. Sujoy seeks to be remembered as an artist who conveys his personal story and makes music that connects with everyone, music that can be enjoyed years from now long after his career has ended. The message, the composition and the overall feeling that the music provides, is what Sujoy hopes to be remembered for.
