The last minute

exam

By Eman ArzooPublished 3 years ago 2 min read

It was the night before the final exams, and Sarah was feeling the weight of the world on her shoulders. She had spent the last few weeks studying day and night, but still felt unprepared. As she sat at her desk, staring at her notes, Sarah felt a sense of dread wash over her.

She knew that if she didn't do well on the exams, she would lose her scholarship and be unable to continue with her studies. The pressure was overwhelming, and Sarah felt like she was about to break.

Just then, her phone beeped, and she saw a message from her best friend, Jenna.

"Hey, Sarah, I know you're stressed, but let's take a break and go for a walk. It'll do you some good."

At first, Sarah was hesitant. She felt like she had no time to waste and needed every last minute to study. But something inside her told her that she needed a break.

So, Sarah put on her shoes and met Jenna outside. They walked through the quiet streets, talking about everything and nothing, and Sarah felt her mind begin to clear.

As they walked, they came across a small park, and Jenna suggested they sit and relax for a bit. As they sat on the bench, Sarah closed her eyes and breathed in the fresh air.

When she opened her eyes again, she saw a group of children playing nearby. They were laughing and having the time of their lives, completely oblivious to the world around them. Sarah felt a pang of envy as she watched them, wishing she could be that carefree.

Jenna noticed Sarah's expression and said, "You know, Sarah, life is too short to spend all your time worrying. Sometimes, you just have to let go and have fun."

Sarah knew Jenna was right. She had been so consumed by her studies that she had forgotten to enjoy life. As she sat there in the park, surrounded by the sounds of laughter and the warm sunshine, Sarah felt a sense of peace wash over her.

When they got back to Sarah's house, it was already late. But instead of going straight to bed, Sarah felt a sudden burst of energy. She picked up her notes and began to study, this time with a renewed sense of purpose.

As the night wore on, Sarah worked through problem after problem, feeling more confident with each passing minute. When she finally went to bed, she knew that she had done everything she could to prepare for the exams.

The next day, as she sat in the exam hall, Sarah felt a sense of calm wash over her. She knew that she had given it her all and was proud of herself for taking that much-needed break the night before.

When the results came out a few weeks later, Sarah was ecstatic to find that she had passed with flying colors. She had done better than she ever thought possible, and it was all thanks to that last-minute break with her best friend.

From that day forward, Sarah made a promise to herself to never forget the importance of taking a break and enjoying life, no matter how busy she may be.
