A few years ago I asked my mentor what I should be doing to improve my grades? I thought he’d give a lengthy response since he enjoys talking to students and helping them to make the right choices, but he simply told me to make every day count.

It was a snappy response that made a lot more sense to me now than back then.

At that time I only interpreted his advice as getting more academic tasks done each day and devoting more time to difficult subjects. But as I’d later realize, his succinct response has done more in helping me to achieve only one aim.

Doing your best each day to live rewardingly is exactly what you should be doing because by so doing, you’d find yourself involved in activities that add value to your life. You’d also realize why some activities should be delisted permanently from your daily routine.

It’s How You’d Start Focusing on What’s More Important.

Making everyday count means living rewardingly each day. It means doing things that would benefit you today and tomorrow. It means taking a tiny bite of your goal each day and chewing it very well.

You can make every day count by focusing on what’s most important like appreciating the moment and using your time judiciously so you can earn enough money to take care of yourself and your family. Staying in good health, and spending quality time with the right people.

It’s wrong to only focus on work and making more money because that could cause your relationships and health to suffer neglect that would affect you negatively.

It’d Help You to Inculcate a New Habit.

The good thing is that the more you try to make every day count, the more you discover what works for you and what doesn’t work. With that awareness, you’d shift your focus and efforts on what’s working so that you can benefit more from doing the things that work for you and let go of the things that don’t work.

Striving to make every day count and focusing on what’s working allows you to instill habits that would help you to live productively and joyously. For example, writing in your journal each day can help you to relieve stress and anxiety. It can also lead to writing many interesting articles and maybe a book someday.

What this means is that the more you do the right thing each day the more the result increases to introduce you to other positive activities that would enrich your life.

The more you strive to make every day count, the more you’d identify some aspect of your life that needs improvement. That was how I started meditating daily so that I can quiet my mind and achieve more focus. Previously I never considered a regular practice of mediation.

It Allows To See Yourself Doing Things That Worked Before.

Making everyday count is how you ensure you’re living a life you can be proud of. It’s how you take responsibility and hold yourself accountable for the life you’re living. It allows you to see yourself doing things that worked before and achieving results that would help sustain every accomplishment in your life.

Keeping it in daily consciousnesses to live a worthwhile life each day would enable you to discover more activities that can help you to live a happier life each day. It’d teach you the benefits of activities that some people would consider to be insignificant.

Activities like gratitude, making out time to help others, and spending good time with the right folks.

If you’re conscious of making each day count in your life, you’d understand the activities or individuals that steal your time and joy each day. You’d also identify the right activities to regularly invest your time in to live rewardingly.

What matters at the end of the day is what you achieved through your efforts. And to achieve a happier life which is the most important thing, you have to be mindful of your choices. You also must make a conscious effort each day to only do what’s right for you.
