Like most people who run anything online, I get more emails than I can handle.

Pitches. Cold intros. Generic invites to “hop on a quick call.”

I don’t say that to sound important. I say it because every founder I know is drowning in noise, and they’ve built up a filter. A fast one.

Mine works like this:

📬 Subject line looks off? Delete.

😬 First line’s clumsy? Delete.

🔗 Random domain I’ve never heard of? Delete.

But a few weeks ago, I opened my inbox, and something odd happened.

I almost deleted the message without thinking.

The subject line wasn’t great.

The intro was templated.

I was ready to move on.

Then I glanced at the sender’s address. Just a flicker of my eye.

Tight. Clean. Confident.

No fluff. No hyphens. No try-hard branding.

Something about it… held me.
