Our Reputation can most likely be defined as the name tag we get from continually doing what we do, it's the legacy you potential build from taking similar actions consistently without faint.

All the same, your reputation is the mirror of your life, It is how people perceive you and subsequently the value they articulate with being around you.

Of course, our reputation is as important as life itself, it either makes or breaks your life.

I paraphrase " A good reputation is far more better than riches" and so the extent to which we're expected to guard our reputation can never be over-emphasized. Try to bring a wealthy man down and he'll get back up in no time, but besmirch his identity, you have inadvertently destroyed his entire empire. This applies to literally everyone of us, It gets so easy to climb to the top if our reputation is at our favor.

The thing about reputations is how it smoothens your life and its subsequent events. When you have a clean record, you no longer need to prove your worth, your reputation speaks so loud on your behalf, It's like a machine that functions due to it's programming.

Of course there's a caveat, reputation are like eggs, fragile and unfixable once broken, or pieces of paper untraceable when torn and dispersed.

Although in rare cases of fortitude, Defamation was cleared off a person's name, but to be frank this rarely happens. Let's be frank" That is most times never the case".

This is because people literally jump at opportunities to defame people at higher levels due to envy and jealousy at its peak

Just like the way trust can be broken, reputation can also be stained in no time, and unfortunately dragged in the mud with so little efforts.

When this happens it's quite hard to fix the damage done, therefore it is pertinent to avoid any damage in the first instance.

You should therefore guard your identity and image with your life, like an egg, avoid bad company and articulations. You're most likely the average of the 5 things you spend your time with, so think wise.

When your reputation eventually gets stained, people become overwhelmed and puzzled at the change of events at this point, they might be your friends but try to assimilate and digest the fact that an assumed role of bad identification has being articulated to you and to avoid be contaminated as well, they steer clear until its proven otherwise, which might probably never happen for you.

Prevention in this case is immensely better than cure, become averted to any event that stands the chance of ruining your fragile identity, it takes so long to build but just a second to destroy.

Let him that have ears hear what I'm trying to say, Your reputation is your virtual portfolio, you need it as much as you need anything that gives you life.

Sadly, we aren't always at fault with a besmirched identity, we should therefore try to sense plots and schemes aimed at destroy our hard-earned good identity, and do so as much as we can.

Who are your friends, Do they have your best interest at heart, or are they just around for the benefit that stand to gain? Figure that out, even if it means discarding all your friends, who perhaps fit that description, you're better off doing that.

Set boundaries that automatically filters out the fluff in friendship and leaves you with the true ones who are sure to stand by you come rain, come shine. Those friends in need, Can you think of anyone of them right now, well hold on to them as tight as possible, those are rare gems in this day and age.

One more thing, are you a defamer yourself?

Do you pride in staining people's image through gossip and actual plots?

Refrain from these treacherous acts as Karma always has the last laugh..
