This piece is for all those individuals setting goals and becoming the best versions of themselves that they can be. There are many different levels to success, and the best part is when you put in the work, you can do anything. Now success means different things to people, so I am going to break down each level for you so it will be easier to achieve any goal you set for yourself.
S: this means to see your goal, and the goal does not have to be extreme; it's all about taking baby steps. For an even better example, let's see a staircase that goes up or down. If you are going up, you have to notice that you can only take one step at a time. Now there are times when you can take two steps at a time, but this can only happen if you have the right tools to miss the first step and go on to the second step with no issues. You can not step on the second step until you see clearly first.
U: means understanding the obstacles. For example, I just got my driver's license, but keep in mind that I have had my learner's permit for seven years. I already knew that my learner's permit would expire, so I was in a driving school. I also knew that I would have an extra expense by doing this, but I also knew that I didn't want to start all over if I let my learners expire. As you can see, I understood the obstacles in front of me.
C: this means to create a positive mental picture in your own mind of what you want your success level to look like to you, not anyone else.
C: means to clear your mind of self-doubt. Once you start thinking negative thoughts about yourself, you have started the process of self-doubt. You start to question if you really can do what you set out to do. But you and only you can change the direction in which your life goes. No one else can do this for you. You have to clear your mind of all the self-doubt because once you do, you will see life better than you ever thought you could, and this is where I am now.
E: Embrace the challenge. I have learned to embrace the challenges that come my way in so many different areas of my life. Going to college gave me the discipline to study and stay focused on my studies. However, I had no idea that those same study habits I obtained in college would prepare me to be able to write my first book. It is now published on Amazon.com, called "My sixteen-year-old life." (T. Evans, 2021). I got my driver's license in two months using these same study habits. Remember that I had my learner's permit for the entire seven years.
S: This means staying on track, and I know that I have stayed on track because I have the book published and my driver's license.
S: show the world you can do it. I am not saying that any of the goals you set for yourself will be easy, no but what I am saying is that you can do anything you put your mind to. The ultimate key to success is always showing graduate for what you currently have. No matter how big or small it is, show graduate in all things.
