Hi everyone!
You may remember that I was STOKED about finally finishing my novel (I want to say my first novel, but really I have a myriad of unfinished novels). This will be my first very long FINISHED work! While I was excited to work with agents, unfortunately, that was not the roadmap for this novel, which in some ways I am grateful for and in others I am sad. Regardless, we press forward and never allow ourselves too long to mope. I have the ebook available and would LOVE if you considered buying it and rating it when you finish! I had to use a pen name due to the nature of my work!
I want to make sure I let everyone know that I am working my way through all the books you linked for me in my article "I will buy your book". Linked below!
There were a lot of you who shared your own work with me, and I have a list; since I have some medical bills, my extra spending cash is limited, so I will only be able to buy a few books at a time and read them; however, my goal is to get them read and give you all some ratings and publicity. I know it was a long time to wait, but I appreciate your patience with me. There have been some heavy years behind me, and I'm sure some more ahead, but we are who we are meant to become in those moments. I am grateful; for who are we to be able to share our stories like this?
Now I will ramble to fulfill the word count. Please feel free to exit the page at this time.
I decided to publish before I turned 30, but life got in the way. I was resolved, though, that this needed to be done and soon. I found that I kept saying I needed to "fix things" and whatnot. I believe you can accidentally edit a manuscript to death if you are not careful! It wasn't until I was reading through the books I needed to buy from fellow creators that I read Kayleigh Fraser's words, "done is better than perfect," and in that moment, I felt something in me fall into place...as if a question I was asking was answered. All of a sudden, all my objections to why I couldn't publish were silly, and I clicked "Save and Publish".
I'm really happy to also say that because I have been taking the time to do books and publish my daughter also wrote a book! She spent a couple hours writing it out by hand, and I asked her if she wanted to publish and she was all for it! So we went out and made it happen! It's a very cute story of the magic of a friendship and tennis! Please feel free to also buy and rate as you would make an eight year old's day; she is currently working on her second book as well. It has been my pleasure to see what modeling for our children can do for their confidence and what they want to do in the world. I try to remember that everyday is a chance for me to prove something not only to the little girl in me but the little girl I am raising.
All we have is now, as tomorrow is not promised and for this reason we should be taking the moments as they come and not allowing fear to dictate what we do. We must use our time, liberty and love to live the life we deserve! Thank you for your time!
