Practice makes Potent.
Your Dreams Need You to Remember Who You Are.

We all have big dreams. This might be true, but how often are we speaking about our dreams, lately? Forgetting our intrinsic, creative human capacity, the survivalist pandemic sweeps the global psyche unscathed. Dreams roll over, drifting back to sleep; until we - once again - remember who we are.
The hours seem shorter, and it isn't necessarily the Winter's solar dance I am talking about. As our lives can dwindle into the tunnel vision of fear-driven desires to meet our survival needs, (hello, delivery, online ordering, work from home, protest from behind screens, school your kids online,) we are living in cubes with even more square concepts of what is next in our personal story. I am a little concerned as to what this means about our natural ability to collaborate, connect and work together when our lives call us to challenges larger than our individual capacity can handle.
When we choose from survival - the mechanism ego controls that gives us a sense of security in a reality that is pervaded with impermanence- we are also simultaneously making a decision that we often miss (and it is killing the spark of humanity; creativity.) This fear is life-sucking over time and when we are focused inside that frame of reference, our brains weren't designed to also be capable of conjuring brilliant ideas or even simply listen to another with compassion. We just let fear over-function as our core informer of when to act and how much to extend of our life force. Fear has a speed, it is fast but it keeps us frozen in its presence. Place this song on repeat and the feedback loop of security - driven behaviour in society drags into a sombre reality that wreaks of "every man for himself." Accompanied by fear-driven rhetoric echoed in the media channels sold to us as fact, it can feel like crawling out of a crevasse of darkness into a world we cant and haven't the energy to re-imagine. Oddly, for all the security driven choices, the world feels less and less safe. This is not a fate, but the fruition of the fact that whatever we focus on expands in our experience. Whatever we practice, we get more of. This means, we have some control.
I am advocating that our collective and individual dreams need us to focus on very different things in order to experience a life of thriving, connected, fulfilling and inspiring lives. While some are lost in the dark, others are using that darkness to dive deep into our cherished dreams, conditioned dreams and even new dreams. Their skill of remembering who they are at their very core is revived. This latter choice describes my 15 year relationship to a slowly - strengthening courage to dream my dream out loud as I let go of my fear of being seen, misunderstood or rejected. I took a lot of time, tested every angle of my assumptions and solutions. Mostly, I was fooled by the intention to be responsible at times, putting off the dream for later in favour of some safer move that could buy me time to wade in the comfort zone a little longer.
As a self-proclaimed Culture Designer, the training and lifestyle catalysts I have dreamed up and tested are focused on regenerative capacities intrinsic to our mind-body system that restore our energy, innovative capacity and enthusiasm to connect. They focus on communication that transforms "what is" that we can touch, taste, see into the realm of possibilities; which is a move that adds energy to the dialogue. These intrinsic capacities are sustained by self-aware self care rooted in neuroplasticity and they are simple enough to practice in the car, office and with your most significant people. The metrics of success are broader in experience and impact; measured in compassion, curiosity and kindness. They are tested rigorously in contexts of toxic righteousness and self ignorance, self betrayal and self denial. In other words, they are tested by the many faces of trauma and trauma responses (the root issue that shapes the way our minds and conditioned reactions will go reflexively.) All this to say, when we prioritize practicing skills that centre on choosing from a non-conditioned place we are leading our lives (vs. being led by them.)
It is time I fully publish my three levels of practices that engage the fullness of our human capacity as creators. If ever there was a time we could use to be inspired by how close we truly are to a totally different outcome in our lives, it is now. We have the opportunity, the impetus, and the capacity. If you are alive, you have a purpose. Your ability to tend to your gifts and to your source of vitality, inspiration and discernment all lie within and yet are limited to your practice. I want people to see and feel the triumphs in their relationships at home and work and to remember that they made the difference, they were leading their lives in a narrative that makes them proud, essential, connected and courageously alive.
With what I am creating at INTRINSIQ, the dream is actually the authentic YOU. Whatever your most authentic desire is - usually front-loaded by the sensation of fear - well, that is where you will find fulfilling and adventurous growth. Growth mindset culture is a very trendy catch phrase lately. I created some solutions to realize that intention with these lifestyle catalysts:
AttuneMints - is conceived to help entrain your mind body at the level of frequency and the hormone balancing function of your breath to regulate your nervous system. This practice promotes resilience and increases your body's ability to heal itself and ward of diseases.
The Praqtice - is conceived to help the very relationships that shape your life's meaning and sense of what is possible. Here you can practice the essential tools for transforming whatever obstacles or conflicts occur that you react in a conditioned way, into freed up choices filled with the closeness, respect and intimate, open hearted culture you inspire when you embody your authentic self.
Culture Q - is conceived to gather the Culture catalysts who inform us of the changes and growth in various aspects of life where we shift from Survival ego-driven motivation toward regenerative Thriving cultures, all starting with the individual.
I am excited to take these steps, and help people who want to lead their lives, taking responsibility for the intrinsic capacity we have to influence culture because we are the SOURCE of culture. We are what influences success of the realization of PEOPLE and their DREAMS by taking on our own intentions with courage. We have forgotten that to create is our nature but remembering is all we need to do.
Our dreams require us first to wake up to who we are. I see this as a great cause for us to gather, inspire each other and lean in as culture catalysts.
