Hidden potential revealed

By Akanji Deborah Published 3 years ago 2 min read

Once upon a time, in a far-off land, there was a young orphan boy named Jack. He lived in a small village with his grandmother, who had raised him since he was a baby. Jack was a kind-hearted boy with a curious mind and a hunger for adventure.

One day, as he was wandering through the nearby forest, Jack stumbled upon a strange old man. The man wore a long robe and carried a staff, and he beckoned to Jack with a bony finger.

"Come with me, young one," the old man said. "I have something to show you."

Jack was hesitant at first, but he felt a sense of trust and warmth emanating from the old man. So he followed him deep into the forest, past the trees and the streams, until they came to a clearing.

In the center of the clearing was a large, shimmering pool of water. The old man knelt beside it and gestured for Jack to do the same.

"Look into the pool," he said. "What do you see?"

Jack peered into the water and was astonished to see his own reflection, but it was different somehow. His hair was longer and his eyes were brighter, and he wore a suit of shining armor.

"Who... who is that?" Jack asked, pointing to the reflection.

"That is you," the old man said. "Or rather, the person you could become. With this pool, you can see your true potential and unlock your hidden talents."

Jack was skeptical at first, but he decided to take a chance. He plunged his hand into the pool and closed his eyes, envisioning himself as the person he wanted to be.

When he opened his eyes, he felt different. Stronger, faster, more confident. He looked down at himself and saw that he was indeed wearing a suit of armor, just like in the reflection.

"Thank you," he said to the old man, who simply smiled and nodded.

Jack returned to his village, eager to put his newfound strength and confidence to the test. And he soon found himself facing a great challenge.

A neighboring kingdom had been taken over by a cruel tyrant, who oppressed the people and ruled with an iron fist. Jack knew he had to do something to help, so he donned his suit of armor and set out on a quest to defeat the tyrant and free the people.

It was a long and arduous journey, but Jack was determined. He battled fierce monsters, crossed treacherous rivers, and climbed towering mountains. And when he finally arrived at the tyrant's castle, he was ready to face whatever lay ahead.

The tyrant was waiting for him, surrounded by his armies and his strongest soldiers. But Jack was not afraid. He charged forward, his sword held high, and fought with all his might.

It was a grueling battle, but in the end, Jack emerged victorious. The tyrant was defeated, and the people were free once more.

As he rode back to his village, Jack realized that he had truly become the person he had always wanted to be. And he knew that, with the help of the pool and the old man, he could accomplish anything he set his mind to.
