One Personality Trait That Attracts Others Instantly
Sometimes the best plan is having no plan at all

Most of the best moments in life go unplanned.
According to SNWS Digital, A new study conducted by OnePoll and commissioned by Eventbrite evaluated the last-minute mentality of 2,000 Americans saw 68 percent describe themselves as spontaneous overall.
“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them — that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”
— Lao Tse
Some of my favorite memories entailed some spontaneity. For example, traveling to Hawaii, going star-gazing with a new group of people, and creating a random YouTube video with my friends.
If you’re always living a life based on plans, then you don’t leave any room for unexpected fun or excitement to happen. Life doesn’t always go to plan, and neither should your schedule.
Things would be incredibly bland if everything went as planned, and we didn’t seek discomfort. Seeking discomfort and being spontaneous will take you so far in life. It’s done so for me, and I know it can for you as well.
You’re a Risk Taker
No one is attracted to a non-risk taker. Someone who always plays it safe and has every aspect of life calculated is much less attractive than someone who has goals and plans in life but doesn’t fear taking risks every once in a while.
My entire plan after high school was spontaneous. Not a lot went to plan, and if I had the chance to re-do it all over again, I’d do the same things.
Some spontaneous things I’ve done in my life include:
- Starting a dog walking business
- Attending community college
- Running a half-marathon
- Joining the Army
- Traveling to New York City alone
- Investing 10k in the stock market
- Road-tripping with my friends
There’s risk involved with everything that I have done in my life ever since I graduated high school. I feel like in high school was a bit of a sheep who didn’t think for myself.
Ever since graduating, I made my own decisions in life and stuck to my gut. I never knew if any of the random things I did would work out or go as I hoped, but it turns out that all of them ended up working out for the better.
I am incredibly happy to be part of such an elite group of spontaneous people. Elite? Yes, don’t you know? According to a study by SNWS Digital, 68% of people consider themselves spontaneous, but I feel like the number of people who actually are spontaneous is below 30%.
It seems as though you have to pull a tooth to get someone to do something spontaneous. Maybe they were just the wrong people I was coming across. Nonetheless, not everyone is going to be willing to take risks.
Keep your eyes peeled for a spontaneous group of people. Those are going to be the people who help you grow as an individual.
If you want it, go for it. Take a risk. Don’t always play it safe or you’ll die wondering.
You’re Open to New Possibilities
A straightforward way to increase your attractiveness is by being open to new possibilities. Not all opportunities are going to be planned, but for you to drop everything and go for it shows a lot about your character.
It shows that you don’t want to miss out on a new experience just because you’re unsure how it will go or if it’s worth you’re time. You are taking a leap of faith, and it shows bravery and courage.
I’m not saying to completely go off schedule all the time and give in to someone else’s 24/7/365.
Instead, I’m saying to leave the door of hope and the unknown open because you never know what could come out of it.
Opportunities are out there waiting for you, and you don’t know what’s going to be worth it and what’s not, but as long as you take a chance, you give yourself the best odds of an amazing outcome.
Spontaneity is an infinite number of rehearsed possibilities.
Your Life Has an Abundance of Upside Potential
When you’re spontaneous, you increase your chances of becoming more affluent, happier, and more complete.
By taking a leap of faith doing things you aren’t entirely sure will be successful is going to either make you more successful or teach you some critical life-lessons.
Like Rocky Balboa says, “Life isn’t going to be all sunshine and rainbows”. There will be bad days, but as long as you “get up and keep moving forward”, everything’s going to work out in the end.
Spontaneity increases your chances of meeting essential people in life, doing life-changing activities that change your perspective, and exposing you to sides of life you wouldn’t have otherwise discovered.
The Endgame of Being Spontaneous
When things don’t go to plan, or you take a leap of faith, incredible things happen. You don’t always have to be so sure about how things go, but you have to be willing to take a chance.
Like Michael Jordan says, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”. So it’d be in your best interest to start by taking a few shots, then take more and more.Your attractiveness is going to increase exponentially, and you’re going to be a very high-value individual.
Take a chance.
Take risks.
Seek Discomfort.
