Now is Divine

How many of us wake up everyday and think, “ Today is the day I start living my dreams...” only to find ourselves years down the road in the same job, in the same city, with the same daily routine, doing exactly the opposite? How many of us are still waiting for the perfect time to do what our soul is calling us to do?————————————————————

The time trap~

I looked in the mirror the other day and noticed more of my raven hair had turned silver. “Where has the time gone,” I thought, as this sage older version of myself peered back at me from the glass. It suddenly hit me that I’d spent years slaving away searching for abundant living with this ridiculous pre-programmed notion that everything would just fall magically into place if I only worked hard enough. That was the American dream right... work hard and live happily ever after? At one point I practically broke myself working three jobs thinking maybe then I would start living the life of my dreams. Now in my third decade of ethereal existence, I can honestly say it took me all the life experiences of my twenties to come to the understanding that this way of thinking only created more resistance from the universe. If I wanted to follow my passions and create the life of my dreams I needed to first unlearn everything holding be back from becoming the best version of myself, to reprogram my way of thinking and tune into what my soul wanted in order to truly align. ————————————————————The Vision~

Amidst all the soul exploding experiences of my spiritual awakening, I stumbled upon “ The Alchemist,” by Paulo Cohelo. Little did I know among it’s pages I would find such resonance with my own quest for growth and expansion. Needless to say the the contents of this book challenged me to ask myself the hard questions. What do I want from life, what vision do I have for myself, how can I go about birthing that vision into reality? What do I treasure in life? My first attempt at free writing, which allows for the energetic free flow of soul response to any question, I asked myself what dreams I would like to see fulfilled. I wrote down: Move to the beach, have a family, help heal and empower others, be my own boss, travel and be truly happy. My list was so simple that it seemed crazy for me not to achieved it yet. Those were all the things I truly wanted from life and I laughed at myself as I thought, “All this time you’ve spent struggling you could’ve just packed up your car, found a job by the beach and that would have been one less thing on your list.” Only now after doing the inner work am I finally starting to bring those dreams to life.

To anyone reading this, the whole point of me taking the time to share this message is to shake you awake!! If you want to travel the world, Go. If you want to start a family, Do it. If you want to quit your 9-5 to become your own boss, Get after it. Your dreams don’t happen when the stars align, you align the stars!! Make a promise to yourself that you won’t put your dreams off any longer because before you know it a day becomes a week.. a week becomes a year and that year turns into a decade. Don’t spend another second in the rat race!! Be here now. Chase your dreams now. Now is divine.
