No Resolution

Do I really need to promise to do something throughout the year?

Now normally, I would say bah humbug to New Year’s resolutions. Too Late? Anyway, I still stand on business in accordance with my values. This isn’t like I’m going to cycle on the Peleton more, either. I’m already doing that. I’m not going to put clothes on it or sell it to buy extra platters of baked ziti. No.

I’m going to focus solely on my experience on Vocal.Media. With the beauty of this site, I plan to further explore the various functions. I have enjoyed somewhat significant success in Challenges in the past and have read my fair share of Stories by my fellow Vocalists.

In the past (I know, I know, we’ll get to the future soon) I even started to review the articles of people to whom I subscribe. It kept me motivated. I immersed myself in the process of delineating and critiquing the people I admire and respect. Their works stand as thought meals for me to feast my mind’s eye on throughout 2023. I experienced the throes of submitting those reviews and reaping little to nothing in return.

Except, a few Vocalists who allowed me to feature my work on their pages. While I felt like I had made a dent, it still did not suffice. For example, I had a writer say to me in essence that it was futile to try to talk about his work or anyone else’s for that matter. He was right. My monetization potential was like sand slipping through my fingers. Ultimately, I had to switch tactics, reassess, and move on from that point.

But we’re done with that. 2024 will be the year of productiveness. I will continue to offer at least one article a day, if it is possible. I seek to gain even more subscribers and tips based on merit. That’s what I think is most crucial here. That I remain focused on continuing my plan of creating.

The principle of Vocal is absolutely beautiful. I can be standing in my PJs, chomping on cereal and tapping on my phone. I can then send in a Story and watch my money grow. That’s what I see in 2024. That’s the reason why I came into the game, so to speak.

What stand as bonuses are the connections that transpire as I rack up the dollars. I’ve been able to forge digital friendships based on Tips. One of these Vocalists is Caitlin Suzanne Young (https://shopping-feedback.today/authors/caitlin-suzanne-young%3C/a%3E%29 who, like myself, is an Objectivist according to the philosophy of Ayn Rand.

That’s the power of this platform that I savor. It’s a delicious reminder that 2024 will be the year to of course money but find people online that I can express my individualism and also encourage others that I value.

I have a concrete strategy for the many ways of achieving success on Vocal. In terms of money, I will continue to earn cash everyday. Just based on my past efforts, I can go for days without contributing to the site and still earn money.

I plan to create out of a sense of purpose. I’m in accord with the thoughts and ideas of some of the best Vocalists. I see Challenges like this as a sort of bellwether that has been around but indicates that there is still healthy competition and the eradication of toxicity.

I seek to soak up the bone marrow of life while engaging with Vocal. I anticipate the various ways to increase my earnings, find new subscribers, and support the excellent work offered by the other Creators.

2024 looks like another signpost for me to recognize on my journey. I see it as a risk and an opportunity to continue to post stories to Vocal as it continues its role of drawing more and more talented individuals.

While I am keeping with my routine, I must say it is tempting to test the hands of fate and say that I will develop new relationships with other writers and artists on Vocal.

It is in my mind that I view 2024 as the year that defines what I do and how I will do it. I endeavor to accomplish goals like publishing stories that gain intellectual traction and exhibit emotional heft. With the aid of books, movies, and television shows, I will be the driving force behind the material I wish to make. I could be writing about true crime one day and the switch up and concoct a plot concerning a murder mystery.

Whatever the case may be, I’m confident that in this new year, I will commit myself to delivering superb content, interacting with communities, and yeah, make a few bucks in the process.

So let’s not kid ourselves here: it’s about the cash. Some say “money isn’t everything.” I say it’s the only thing. It’s what makes Vocal so special. I’ve never earned as much money on any other writing platform. It’s more than that, though. From the support staff to the Web layout to the overall Community, all hint toward a site of profound substance.

I anticipate using this site to my advantage and make it shine like the beacon that it is. With every Story I write, I will make certain that every aspect of the site will be utilized fully.

For all the tools that Vocal provides, I plan to perform like an engineer, using every one available to better cement my place as a writer on the landscape.

As the site continues to evolve and manifest into the best place to go for quality content, it must be said that there will be great joy in knowing that even through the DDoS attacks, Vocal remains a bastion amidst a wasteland. In 2024, I plan to take every advantage the platform has to offer.

That’s just it. I’ve committed to my resolve to produce like an animal or some sort of powerhouse. Though it may seem that I am being overzealous, it is because I am not only motivated but inspired by all that Vocal has to offer.

And though it may seem counterintuitive, I am going to communicate with other writers. I say this because I venture to say there are so many excellent, quality writers and photographers on Vocal. I’ve never been the one to cooperate with too many other writers. 2024 looks like the ideal time to explore my options as a collaborator.

Now, I think I will still write my own Stories, but I intend to offer virtual handshakes to other creators. Of course, this will serve my own bottom line while trading with my fellow makers. That’s the ultimate goal for my lifestyle as a writer. If I allow myself to open up the gates and tread forward on the power of my own mind.

So, no, I’m not ready to start bringing out the funny hats and glasses and noisemakers in regard to being a “resolution maker.” I do, though, want to emphasize the importance of permitting myself to read other Creators and know that we can have some kind of connection based on our trading efforts. Whenever there’s a Challenge, I have already committed to reading at least the winner and the second place and a few of the runners up. To exemplify, I offer the Arid Challenge. I entered it and of course expected to take the crown…I didn’t. But that’s because D. J. Reddall’s bold, poetic prose left the competition in the dust. When I say “competition” I mean me. That’s the profound nature of Vocal. Only the ones with the highest merit prevail as the winner.

I look forward to pushing positivity in my posts and to begin the year where I started, no resolutions, just commitments. Congratulations, Vocal on 200 Challenges but…bah humbug to resolutions. That is all.
