A Little "Sumthin' Nyce" From An Accomplished Black Owned Entertainment Business Owner

Nick Payne, a successful African American male entertainment company owner and actor in Las Vegas, NV, shares his experience of owning a company with a refreshing spin. Not only is Nick the Founder of Sumthin' Nyce Entertainment, but his resume is extensive and reads on to include Executive Producer, Creator, Designer, Brand Ambassador, Media Director, Marketing and Public Relations Manager, Casting Associate, Onset Producer, Director of Operations, Stage Hand, Co-Producer, and so much more! On top of his busy schedule, Nick is also the Executive Producer, Creator and an Actor for Sin City TV! Nick will soon complete a television interview with The Morning Blend Las Vegas! Nick has also been featured on an HPE, Live! Podcast show, which will be released in the coming weeks. Read on as Nick talks about his successes, shoe line, goals and advice.

Question: As the owner of Sumthin' Nyce Entertainment, can you tell us what your business is about and how it positively impacts the black community?
Nick: Sumthin' Nyce Entertainment is a company that represents all types of entities in the world of entertainment: Acting, Music, Media, Photography etc.
Fun Fact! A recent Facebook post from Nick says that he will soon be Co-Producing a music video as well! Congratulations to Nick and everyone involved!
Question: Where did the idea of Sumthin' Nyce stem from and how did you come about the name?
Nick: It came from an idea me and my childhood friend came up with when we were in our mid 20 's.
Question: As a black male owning a business, what obstacles have you been up against because of your skin color, if any at all?
Nick: Not so much of obstacles, just the fact that I was determined to carry on the company name after my friends death in his early 30's.

Question: Do you feel like you have experienced racism or discrimination in any aspect of owning your own company or in being an entertainer?
Nick: No, I haven't came up against any of that. (What an amazing statement! It is so great to find that there is hope and equality to be found in this world!)
Question: Do you feel that you have more, less, or equal amounts of opportunity as any other race when it comes to the industry and owning your own company?
Nick: More opportunities. (Yes! I think the key is just being able to look in the right places.)
Question: What are your goals for the next five years?
Nick: To continue in the world of entertainment as a actor/producer and CEO of an entertainment company and to make as many connections as possible. (And I believe he will make it!)

Question: Can you tell us about the shoe line you have and all other products you sell? Where can they be purchased?
Nick: My shoe company (Sumthin' Nyce by Nick & Nic) has all types of shoes for men and women. (Check him out on Facebook as new designs come out often!)
Question: Who has been your greatest influencer(s) to push forward and become a business owner?
Nick: My family and girlfriend.
Question: What current projects are you working on?
Nick: I am working on producing my very first television project and I have 5 different television projects to produce/act and create. (Once again, Nick proves his business, but he never looses focus on the goal and I can't say how much of a determined business man he is!)
Question: What advice would you have to other African Americans who want to open a business, but may feel pressured by the racism happening in today's society?
Nick: I say if you want it bad enough, fight for it on a daily basis until you achieve your dreams and goals.

I have been blessed to be connected to Nick via social media for quite a few years and have watched his success grow so rapidly! I can't wait to see where else Nick makes waves through the entertainment industry! I also admire the fact that Nick is a man of integrity, and through it all, he continues to push the legacy of his late friend and their dream to make Sumthin' Nyce Entertainment come to life!
