Thanks to a wonderful idea by a fellow Vocal creator Caitlin McColl, I have decided to also break down and organize the overflowing library of stories, poems and articles that is my own Vocal profile.

Here is her own article which I highly recommend you take a look at:

***

During my time here on Vocal, I have created several series that encapsulate the genres of crime, fantasy, mystery, romance, LGBTQ and horror. I have sincerely appreciated this platform and the support of my peers(on various Vocal Facebook groups made by creators, which I’ll leave the links for at the bottom of the article for your perusal), which has improved my overall experience in full. Mainly, by peer to peer review and honest feedback and a growing sense of comradely, friendship and togetherness.

So many of these support groups on Facebook have really shaped the way I see myself as a writer and because of that support and kindness, I feel like this circle of creators and writers have been like an extended family. Mike Singleton, Courtney Capone, Lesley Anne(CallMeLes), Caitlin McColl, Lori Hamilton Melton, Scott Wade, Matthew Maccahey, Darius Cherry, Babs Iverson, Jason Morton, Jason Basaraba, Jason Barron and the late but still great Tom Bradbury(he was such a brilliant and supportive presence within our groups), have all become like a second supportive extended family to me, and I am truly grateful for their friendship, collaborative and creative efforts and huge talent. If I didn’t mention your name, I apologize(didn’t want this to be too long)! I love you all—-seriously, you have made my time here on Vocal exceptional.

For my series I will have of them all here with their chapters in order, and a brief description of the story, and also their accompanying pieces(poetry, stand-alone pieces). Some of these series, such as I am Bexley, are series that I am going to publish outside of Vocal as a novel(possibly a graphic novel if I can find a collaborative artist), but are still in progress. An additional feature suggested by fellow Vocal Creator Graham Cooke, I embedded these story and poetry links for easier access. Enjoy!

Series are as follows:

Titled : The Job

Titled: I am Bexley

Status: In progress

Chapters/Pieces: forty-four chapters so far, with one survivor guide and two poetry pieces

Description: Fantasy/Horror/Romance

Set in a post apocalyptic world in the year 2071, zombies have taken over(zombie and humans fought in a war fifty years prior) and are in control of humans. Humans live in bunkers and caves, are not allowed to live outside unless authorized to and cannot have weapons. Zombies live in human settlements and successfully live in a society where the ultra rich zombies (gems) make the rules and everyone follows suit. Who can bridge the gap between these two peoples and secure freedom and safety from the dreaded ultra mutated Bloodletters? Bexley, a nineteen year old zombie girl who wields a katana… and though her heart may not be beating, she has plenty of love to share!
